Today was another beautiful day! Went down to Cholla bay and made a few new discoveries as well as some that we have become familiar with :) we also went kayaking in the estuary, which is where salt and fresh water come together.

The Cholla bay area was cold this morning. It was very sandy and wet. One of the things I found was a red sponge. I have never seen a red sponge before. Once I put my feet in the water it felt like all of my chills went to my feet from my chest area. I also got to see an Octopus come out of it's shell. It was very intriguing.

Today we went down to the sea shore early in the morning when the tide was low to learn about the little sea creatures that live in the tide pools, the weather was absolutely amazing! We also learned that tides are the highest/lowest when the earth, moon and the sun are in line, this is referred to as spring tides . On the flips side, when the earth, moon and sun are in the formation of a right angle it is called a neap tide this formation produces the least tidal range.
